I’m back! After taking a few months off from dance writing to acclimate to a new job, I’m happy to return. Last week I spoke with New York City Ballet principal dancer Sara Mearns about the works she’s dancing during company’s fall season (including Swan Lake), her upcoming Fall for Dance debut (in a new duet by Justin Peck), and the ballet she wants to retire with (but not anytime soon). Click here to read the interview, which was printed in the September issue of The Brooklyn Rail.
